It has been proposed that Noida city be divided into four zones with a zonal office each to deal with public issues. Deputy CEO, Noida Authority, told that Authority officials were directed to make a formal proposal for the zones next week at a meeting held at the Authority office by UP principal secretary (industrial development) and chairman of the three development Authorities of Gautam Budh Nagar, with senior officials of the three areas.

The meeting was held in the run-up to a crucial meeting to be held with UP chief secretary.
Officials of Noida and Greater Noida said that the focus of the meeting was the improvement of civic amenities and traffic management issues being faced in both cities.

The meeting was divided into four parts:

• Public-related issues connected with civic amenities
• Traffic management
• Pending projects affecting the citizens
• And the financial position of the three Authorities

The aim was to thrash out the problems and find solutions so that the cities of Noida and Greater Noida become comfortable zones for residents as well as people who work here.

Noida DCEO said a joint team has been formed to deal with traffic-related issues. “This team will consist of officials from the district administration, the police and the Authorities. They will visit the bottlenecks identified in Noida (23 choke points) and in Greater Noida (three choke points).

Chairman Sanjay Agarwal on Monday directed that pending projects of all the three areas be expedited. Those getting delayed and affecting the daily lives of the public need to be taken up on a priority basis, said Agarwal. These projects include the underground car parking in Sector 95 in Noida to be readied by December 31, 2016; Model Town underpass at NH-24 be readied by Diwali; Noida’s first elevated road to be completed by October 15; and Sector 18 multi-level car parking to be completed by October 30, which will further benefit the people visiting Sector 18 on daily basis as well as occupiers of Wave One in the future.

These developments with strict timelines will benefit the residents of Noida as well as who come to Noida for work from adjoining cities. This is also a positive answer to those who have infra related queries before they take a home buying decision in the city sphere.

The growth and expansion of city’s infra will definitely facilitate the existing residents of Noida and whoever plans to buy an apartment in Noida.
